Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, is set to embark on an official six-day visit to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as announced by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). In Saudi Arabia, from October 17 to 20, PM Lee will meet Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, engage with other Saudi leaders, and gain insights into KSA’s Vision 2030. He will also participate in a reception for Overseas Singaporeans.
His tour will extend to historical and cultural sites in Madinah and Al Ula. At the Asean-GCC Summit, leaders will explore avenues to strengthen relations and expand collaboration into areas like green and digital economies.
Subsequently, he will travel to the UAE from October 21 to 22. There, PM Lee will meet with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. A visit to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) is scheduled for an update on the UAE’s energy transition plans. In addition to Abu Dhabi, PM Lee will visit Dubai, meeting Emirati leaders and attending a reception for Overseas Singaporeans.
Accompanying PM Lee during his visit to the UAE will be Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Second Minister for Education, Dr. Mohamed Maliki Osman; Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr. Tan See Leng; Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, and Senior Minister of State for Transport, Dr. Amy Khor; and Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information, and Senior Minister of State for Health, Dr. Janil Puthucheary.
