Dubai: SirajPower, a privately-owned solar energy company, will provide services to Abu Dhabi-based environmental services provider Cleanco Waste Treatment.
Under the agreement, SirajPower will develop a fully financed 2 MVA solar diesel cell. The solution will provide Cleanco with reliable power through a hybrid system of solar photovoltaics, diesel generators and batteries. “As a result, CWT’s current diesel-powered waste treatment plant will be able to reduce its fuel consumption, operating expenses and carbon footprint, ultimately benefiting the UAE’s sustainable vision without the need for up-front investment,” a statement said.This will enable Cleanco’s Al Dhafra facility to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 685 tonnes per year
“SirajPower is one of the few companies operating in the GCC that provides and implements comprehensive hybrid solar solutions for customers,” said company chairman Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain. “Today’s announcement of this unique hybrid solution combining solar, diesel and batteries is a testament to Siraj Power’s commitment to developing and delivering unique clean energy solutions to meet GCC’s commercial, industrial and residential needs.”
