SITA launches platform for building partnerships

[ad_1]

SITA, the air transport industry’s leading IT provider, has announced the launch of a partnership program to embark on a new path of growth with key partners.

Through its new partnership platform, Launchpad, SITA outlined four key areas in which it seeks to forge new partnerships: digital identity, advanced analytics and data management, safety and security at airports, and sustainable alternative energy. Each of these areas is in response to the changing needs of today’s air travel, and SITA has made significant strides in innovation and development.

Over the past two years, airlines and airports have faced enormous challenges and changing passenger behavior, requiring the industry to adjust the way it operates. Soaring fuel prices and a dramatic increase in volatility, while passengers need the same digital experience when traveling, dominate every aspect of their daily lives.

To meet this need, SITA is accelerating investments in new solutions that leverage existing and new technologies to deliver smarter ways of working. At the same time, SITA is looking to collaborate with partners within and outside the air transport industry to complement SITA’s expertise, drive innovation or trial new sustainable solutions in its operations.

SITA CEO David Lavorel said: “We are committed to advancing the air transport industry through smart technologies and solutions. We have carefully studied the market and identified key areas where we can make a significant impact and help our customers work smarter .We have a strong investment and innovation program to support these areas that are critical to the growth of SITA. To accelerate this program, we are inviting new partners working in these four areas to join us so that we can reshape Air travel together.” – arab trade news agency
