Parade goers seek shade along the Skokie Parade Route on July 4th as parades, classic cars, floats, dancers, Jessie White Tumble Team and more make their way down the street.
The parade, including the Niles North High School Dance Team, Vikettes and Dance Force dancers, stopped to perform at the Oakton Street parade stand near Oakton Park.
The Chesterton High School Troy Guards Marching Band from Chesterton, Indiana, and the Colt Cadet Corps from Dubuque, Iowa are among the marching bands.
Several bands, including the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and the Chicago Cossacks, rode by in floats, playing lively music and punctuating the parade of politicians.
