Some major roads and highways in Abu Dhabi will be partially closed over the weekend

To enable major works on the Al Maqta Bridge, both left lanes will be closed in both directions from 11pm today (Friday 16th September) until 5am on Monday 19th September.

The two left lanes on Khaleej Al Arabi Street and its adjacent ramp from Khalifa City to Sweihan will also be partially closed from 11pm today (Friday 16th September) until 5am on Monday 19th September .

Within the capital, the intersection of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street and Zayed the First Street, commonly known as Airport Road, will also be closed. The left lane towards Al Maqta Bridge and the right lane towards Corniche St will be closed from 11pm today (Friday 16 September) until 11pm Saturday 17 September. Thereafter, the right lane towards Al Maqta Bridge and the left lane towards Corniche St will be closed from 11pm on Saturday 17th September to 5am on Monday 19th September.

On Sheikh Zayed Street, the two left-hand lanes leading to Corniche between Zayed First Street and Al Mawkib Street will be closed from midnight on Saturday 17 September to midnight on Monday 19 September.

In light of these closures, the ITC urges motorists to take careful detours and obey all traffic rules and regulations.
