Southern Tourism Company, a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Maritime, the custodian of Abu Dhabi Waterways, to explore the development of key business areas.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show in the presence of Southern Tourism Chairman Ahmed Al-Aseeri and Mumtalakat representatives, Southern Tourism CEO Yusuf Al-Manea and the captain Abu Dhabi Maritime Managing Director Saif Al Mheiri.
Ahmed Al-Aseeri said: “We are delighted to partner with Abu Dhabi Maritime to explore joint services related to maritime and logistics in the region. This will enable Southern Tourism to strengthen its contribution to the national economy in line with Mumtalakat’s goals.”
“This agreement will allow us to exchange knowledge, know-how and expertise to explore opportunities in the region and establish strategic collaborations,” said Yusuf Al-Manea.
Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Maritime, commented: “Abu Dhabi Maritime is delighted to be partnering with Southern Tourism to consider the development of maritime infrastructure and services in Bahrain. As the administrator of Abu Dhabi Waterways, Abu Dhabi Dhabi Marine looks forward to sharing our insights and expertise in maritime freight, logistics and services with our friends in Bahrain.”
The MoU will enable both parties to work closely together in the development of maritime transport logistics solutions, as well as the development of offshore facilities and ferry services. – trade arab news agency
