Spinneys, a locally-owned supermarket, has reopened the doors of its refurbished King Faisal Road store in Sharjah, marking the beginning of its new store experience across the UAE. This branch is the first flagship store opened in the Emirates in 1969, introducing Spinneys’ new exterior Arabic style interior and cafe concept.

This 22,000-square-foot store provides a convenient, high-quality shopping experience and reflects the company’s slogan of “Eat Well, Live Well”. The new store is committed to the health and well-being of customers and the environment, with more fresh food counters and a wider range of high-quality products. Committed to sourcing locally as much as possible, shoppers can also purchase a variety of fresh local products, including hand-picked fruits, vegetables and seafood.

One of the main features of the new store design is the concept of a counter service cafe, Spinneys Kitchen Café-with a modern and vibrant design aesthetic. Only the second product launched in the UAE, customers can have a cup of coffee and croissant, or sit down in the comfortable seating area to enjoy a specially curated menu, including favorites such as avocado toast or Arabic platter.

Sunil Kumar, CEO of Spinneys, works as an assistant store manager at the Sharjah branch. She recalled: “I have been shopping in this store for 37 years. As early as 1990, I was sick and unable to go to the store.
