The June meeting of the Stanley County Planning Commission will address topics including minimum lot sizes, adult recreational areas, rezoning and temporary camper trailers.
The Planning Committee will meet on June 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gene McIntyre Conference Room in Stanly Commons to discuss text amendments regarding minimum lot sizes for residential/agricultural (R/A) zones.
The proposed amendment would require that lots in the R/A be no less than 40,000 square feet without water and sewer. The amendment would set a minimum size of 30,000 square feet for lots with water and sewer.
Lots in the R10 and R20 zones will also be limited to a minimum of 15,000 and 20,000 square feet, respectively.
Discussions of conservation subdivision proposals and lot sizes are also on the meeting agenda.
Another textual amendment would allow temporary use of camper trailers on construction sites at an individual’s primary residence.
Another textual amendment would further define where adult venues and adult live entertainment can take place under zoning ordinances.
One previous rezoning by the Planning Commission was a request by Burleson Development to rezon a 28-lot subdivision at 20239 Running Creek Church Road in Locust.
