VR game developer STOIC Entertainment has officially revealed their upcoming Meta Quest 2 game, “World War Cartoon: Tank Arena VR”at Gamescom 2022 in Germany.
The predecessor to the casual VR tank action FPS game, Studio Roqovan’s World War Toons, released for Sony’s Playstation VR in 2016, has generated 800,000 downloads, proving its appeal.
STOIC focused on the tank combat features of the original World War Toons and released a VR theme park arcade version in 2019. Since then, they’ve been fine-tuning the game for Meta Quest 2.
Players can drive and fight WWII-era tanks, such as Shermans or Tigers, reimagined as cute cartoon vehicles on a virtual battlefield. Each tank has a unique fighting style that can be used to fight other players.
Starting from the base release with 8 tanks and 3 battle terrains, STOIC plans to offer DLC that will introduce additional world-famous battlefields and tanks to diversify players’ strategic and tactical approaches.
CEO Yoon-hwa Choi said: “With our original VR motion sickness mitigation technology, UI/UX developed specifically for VR, and our partnership with SK Telecom and Meta, we are ready for the official Meta Store Publish our game on “Stock. “We believe Quest 2 users will love our action-packed, fun game.”
