Sudanese citizens in UAE exempt from fines for violating residence laws

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced that Sudanese citizens in the UAE will be exempted from fines for violating residency laws from April 15, 2023.

The move is in line with the UAE’s approach and high humanitarian values, as well as its wise leadership’s passion for providing a decent life for the country’s Sudanese residents.

Those whose visas and residence permits have expired or whose work contracts or period of leaving the UAE have come to an end fall under the category exempted from fines.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the ICP, underscored the deep-rooted relationship between the UAE and Sudan and the passion of the UAE leadership to support and stand with the people of Sudan.

He said the UAE’s decision to exempt Sudanese in the country and violated the residency law showed its generosity and values ​​and its passion to enable the Sudanese people to live a stable life, noting that he hoped that peace and security would return to the country and the country at an early date. people.

In an official statement, the Sudanese embassy expressed its gratitude to the UAE leadership for their support and care for the Sudanese community residing in the country. The embassy also expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and all relevant national authorities.
