Indian Gem and Jewelry Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) inaugurated the 2nd International Gem and Jewelery Show (IGJS) in Dubai in the presence of Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the UAE; Laila Suhail, Chief Executive, Strategic Alliances and Partnerships, Dubai Economy and Tourism Kirit Bhansali, Vice-Chairman, GJEPC; Chandu Siroya, Vice-Chairman, Dubai Gold & Jewelery Group (DGJG); Nilesh Kothari, Convenor of International Exhibitions – GJEPC; and Milan Chokshi, Co-Convenor of International Exhibitions – GJEPC, among others.

The show will take place on November 10 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City in Dubai. IGJS Dubai is supported by the Indian Ministry of Commerce, the Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Dubai, in partnership with Sequel, IGI and Suntech Business Solutions.

The UAE has been a major market for Indian gems and jewelery exports, accounting for 14% of total gems and jewelery exports in FY2021-22; it has gained further traction following the India-UAE CEPA. Platforms like Dubai IGJS will further help members of both countries to understand their respective strengths and utilize the India-UAE CEPA.

Another advantage is that the UAE is India’s gateway to the WANA (West Asia and North Africa) region, helping to strengthen trade links with other GCC countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

IGJS is a globally focused curated exhibition dedicated to top quality ‘Made in India’ jewelery for international buyers. This year IGJS Dubai welcomed over 350 pre-registered international visitors from more than 25 countries.
