Superbrands, the world’s largest independent brand arbitrator, will highlight and honor the UAE’s most prestigious and recognizable brands at a gala event on 18 October 2022.
36 of the UAE’s greatest brands will be recognized at the 18th annual tribute event, considered by many in the business world to be the ‘Oscars of Branding’.
The event will also serve as a platform for the launch of the 18th edition of the highly regarded UAE Superbrands book, which will feature each superbrand of 2022 in two pages.

Over the years, Superbrands has become a respected and impartial entity in the UAE business sector and will recognize brands from a range of industries including consumer goods, financial services, food and beverages, healthcare, government and retail.
Expanded in 2022, the Superbrands Council includes no fewer than 13 exceptional and inspiring individuals. It is made up of a number of returning members, including Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO, Dubai Duty Free, Mishal Kanoo, Vice-Chairman UAE and Oman, The Kanoo Group and Dr Ram Buxani, Chairman, ITL Cosmos Group, HE Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Hamriyah Free Zone Management Bureau and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority and several important new members.
Together, the Superbrands Council scored over 2,000 leading brands from across the UAE and shortlisted them, to be voted on by over 2,500 senior managers and marketing professionals. Only invited individuals can vote on brands they trust. Brands with the highest scores were selected as Superbrands, and only brands meeting the prerequisites set by the Superbrands Committee were eligible to be included in the UAE Superbrands Book, which highlights each brand’s history and achievements.
Thorough screening
Commenting on the selection and voting process, English added: “Due to our intensive and thorough screening and voting process, only the best brands make it to the Superbrands list. The online poll of marketing professionals in the region gets a lot of votes, so being recognized and invited to the Superbrands UAE Book is truly a badge of honor. The Brand Oscars and our latest book is a true celebration of the country’s leading brands.”
