Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Superbrands, the world’s largest independent brand arbiter, is delighted to announce that it will be highlighting and honouring the UAE’s most prestigious and established brands at a grand event on 18 October 2022. 36 of the UAE’s greatest brands will be recognised at the 18th annual event, a tribute event recognised by many in the corporate world as the “Oscars of Brands”. The campaign will also serve as the launch pad for the 18th edition of the highly regarded Superbrand UAE Book, which will feature a two-page profile on each Superbrand in 2022.
Brands are a powerful tool, and in today’s competitive and digitally connected world, brands must create an emotional connection with their customers to secure mindshare, earn their trust and ultimately sustain business.
Comment on the significance of being selected for the super brand list, Mr. Mike English, Super Brand Middle East Director “Branding is a complex concept with multiple elements, and it is invaluable because it leaves an unforgettable impression on customers and allows them to picture in their minds what to expect from your company. For this reason, many global business leaders And well-known business people have frequently emphasized the importance of a strong brand. Over the years, Superbrands has established itself as a respected and unbiased entity in the UAE business sector and will recognise brands from a number of industries including consumer goods, financial services, food and beverage, healthcare, government and retail.
The Superbrands Council expands in 2022 to include no fewer than 13 distinguished and inspiring individuals. It consists of a number of returning members including Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, Mishal Kanoo, Vice Chairman of Kanoo Group UAE and Oman, and Dr Ram Buxani, Chairman of ITL Cosmos Group, HE Saud Salim Al Hamria Free Zone Management Bureau and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority Mazrouei and several distinguished new members.
The Superbrands Council rated and shortlisted over 2,000 leading brands from across the UAE, voted on by over 2,500 senior managers and marketing professionals. Only invited individuals can vote on brands they believe in. Brands with the highest scores are selected as Superbrands, in addition, only brands that meet the prerequisites set by the Superbrands Council are eligible to be included in the Superbrands UAE book. Speaking about the selection and voting process, Mr English added: “Due to our rigorous and thorough screening and voting process, only the best brands are allowed to enter the Superbrands list. As brands must pass our well-respected Superbrands Committee Online polls by members and regional marketing professionals garner a large number of votes, so being recognised and invited to the Superbrand Emirates Books is a true badge of honour. The Brand Oscars and our latest issue of the book are a true celebration of the country’s leading brands. “
The 18th highly anticipated annual tribute event will feature the UAE’s leading business and corporate leaders.
