Sylvester Stallone pays tribute to James Caan.
The “Rocky” star shared fond memories of the actor – who died on Wednesday (06.07.22) at the age of 82 – with a series of photos of the couple in an Instagram post.
Sly captioned the tribute: “I will miss my good friend and great actor James Caan! Strong, smart, a man of men. Unique!”
The two stars collaborated on the TV series “Las Vegas” in 2005, and both recently appeared in the documentary “Chuck Zito: An American Story.”
Kahn’s death was announced on Twitter on Thursday (07.07.22) by the “Godfather” star’s family.
A statement read: “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Jimmy on the evening of July 6th.
“The family appreciates their outpouring of love and heartfelt condolences and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
Kane’s “The Godfather” co-star Al Pacino paid tribute to the actor, calling him a “dear friend.”
The 82-year-old star – who played Michael Corleone in the crime film – said in a statement to People: “Jimmy is my fictional brother and my lifelong friend. It’s hard to believe he won’t be in this world again. on, because he is so lively and bold.”
Pacino also praised Kahn, who played Sonny Corleone, as a “great director.”
“A great actor, a great director and my dear friend. I will miss him,” he said.
“The Godfather” director Francis Ford Coppola also shared a tribute to Kahn, who also appeared in films such as “Genie” and “Misery.”
The filmmaker said: “From his early years working on Rain Man to all the milestones in my life, his films and the many great characters he played will never be forgotten. He will always be my old friend in Sunnyside and I collaborator and one of the funniest people I know.”
