The UAE announced their 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia on Saturday. CP Rizwaan will lead the team to the big event with Vriitya Aravind as his deputy.
“Qualifying against the world’s top national teams at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is a milestone in UAE cricket’s growing strength in the T20 format. We are deeply grateful to all those who have invested their time and energy at this unique moment in UAE cricket’s history. People. We wish our teams all the best as they continue to make their mark on international cricket at the ICC T20 World Cup,” selection committee chairman Tayeb Kamali said in a statement.
In the initial 15-man lineup, the board also designated five reserve teams.

The UAE will play two T20 series matches in Bangladesh in preparation for the World Cup in October. “The UAE will play Bangladesh cricket in 2 T20I series matches on Sunday 25th September and Tuesday 27th September at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City before continuing to prepare and leave the UAE.”
