The long-awaited confrontation between India and Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup will be held in Dubai on October 24.
A BCCI source said in an interview with ANI. “Yes, mortal enemies will clashed on October 24.”
Last month, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the teams for the T20 World Cup.
BCCI will host large-scale events in the UAE and Oman from October 17th to November 14th.
India and Pakistan are placed in the second group of the Super 12.
This will see the two teams clash in the group stage of the exhibition match. These teams are selected based on the team rankings. The defending champion West Indies enters the first group of the Super 12 with former champions England, Australia and South Africa. Two qualifiers from the first round also joined them.
Group 2 will have former champions India and Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan and two other qualifiers in the first round.
Eight teams will participate in the first round, including the automatic qualifiers of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The other six teams booked their positions through the 2019 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers.
Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia and Sri Lanka are in Group A, while Oman, Papua New Guinea and Scotland will play against Bangladesh in Group B.
