The theme of the Tanzania Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is to create an enabling environment for industrial prosperity
The United Republic of Tanzania will host a series of National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai this weekend with a crucial ‘Tanzania Energy Symposium’, which will be opened by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan .
The symposium will be held on Sunday 27th February under the theme “Promoting Tanzania as an energy hub in East Africa”. Hosted by Tanzania’s Ministry of Energy, it will bring together national oil companies, international oil companies, investors, financiers, traders, EPC+F, developers, governments and institutions to showcase investment opportunities in this rapidly developing country.
Before the workshop, Tanzania’s Energy Minister Jan Y. Makamba said: “Tanzania is in a strategic position to serve East and Central Africa, and we are determined to make it happen. One way to do this is to attract high-quality investors in the energy sector. , we have the potential to meet the growing energy demand in the region and abroad through projects such as LNG.”
Makamba will present opportunities and lead discussions with technical teams at the workshop on investment, financing and strategy for upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas projects; oil supply and storage infrastructure; power generation; transmission and distribution; rural electrification; and renewable energy.
The workshop will be celebrated in and around the National Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai for the Tanzania National Day weekend, with a special celebration on Saturday 26 February.
