Taylor Swift released a new album called “Midnight” in October.
Taking advantage of her appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, NJ, the pop star confirmed plans on Sunday night (28.08.22) for her latest album, about 13 Sleepless Nights. Story, she later dropped the album’s artwork in a post on Instagram.
Announcing the new record at the awards ceremony, she told the Prudential Center audience: “I’ve made up my mind that if you’re going to be so generous and give us this, I think it might be an interesting time to tell you that my brand new album will be Released October 21st. I’ll tell you more at midnight.”
In her subsequent Instagram post, she added a photo of herself sitting with her head in her hands, writing: “We are awake in love and fear, in turmoil and tears. We drink while staring at the wall , until they speak back.
“We’re huddled in homemade cages, praying that we’re not – at this very moment – about to make some big life-changing mistakes.
A collection of music written late at night, a journey through fear and sweet dreams. The floors we paced and the demons we faced.
“To all of us who toss and turn and decide to keep the lanterns lit and keep looking – hopefully maybe, when the clock strikes twelve…we’ll meet ourselves.”
Taylor concludes: “Midnight, the story of 13 sleepless nights in my life, opens on October 21st. See you at midnight.”
“Midnights” will be Taylor’s first new album since the release of “Evermore” in 2020. The post shows that all tracks will be divided into A side and B side, and all tracks will be numbered from 1 to 13.
