Clear skies and warm weather ahead. According to the Met Office, maximum temperatures in the country will be between 40 and 42°C today.
According to the National Weather Center’s daily weather forecast, “[The weather will be] Sunny to cloudy, especially to the west, sometimes dusty during the day. “
Maximum temperatures in the interior of the country are expected to be between 37 and 42°C. Temperatures will reach 35 to 41°C in coastal areas and islands, and 23 to 29°C in mountains.
The highest temperature recorded on Sunday afternoon was 41.6°C in Sweihan (Al Ain).
The lowest temperature recorded in Raknah was 13.4°C yesterday. Today’s minimum temperature is expected to be 17°C, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Relative humidity is moderate, averaging around 40% to 50% and reaching a maximum of 70%.
Temperatures were gradually warming up last week as rains fell in parts of the country. This week, however, the NCM confirmed in its detailed weekly forecast that temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Light to moderate winds at times at sea today will cause dusty conditions in some areas.
However, the NCM said seas would be “slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman”.
