Thailand’s Princess Pracha Rajtiaba remains in coma three weeks after collapse of heart attacka palace statement said in an update on the health of the 44-year-old potential heir to the throne.
The eldest son of Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn lost consciousness on Dec. 15 from a severe cardiac arrhythmia caused by post-mycoplasma inflammation, according to a statement from the palace Saturday night.

The royal family said the princess’ “general condition is that she remains unconscious”.
“Physicians continued to provide medication and use equipment to support the function of the heart, lungs and kidneys, and to administer antibiotics, while closely monitoring her condition,” it said.
Princess Bajarakitiyabha fell ill while preparing her dog for a competition in northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima, where she was initially treated before being flown to Bangkok by helicopter.

She is one of three formally titled children of King Vajiralongkorn, who is eligible to take the throne under court succession laws and the country’s constitution.
The king has not formally named an heir, nor has he formally discussed the prospect of the princess taking the throne.
Princess Bajarakitiyabha is a trained lawyer with a master’s and doctorate from Cornell University and has served as Thailand’s ambassador to Austria, Slovenia and Slovakia and has held positions in the Attorney General’s Office, the Royal Security Command, and as the Thai Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
She was born on December 7, 1978. Her mother was Princess Soamsawali, the king’s first wife.
