Under the leadership of conductor Rémy Ballot, the Filasteen Young Musician Orchestra of the Barenboim-Sayed Music Center toured Palestinian cities and refugee camps with outstanding performances and a series of lectures Classes entertain Palestinian audiences to educate the children in these camps.
The orchestra in Ramallah is made up of talented young Palestinian musicians who want to improve their music education. The orchestra is a project of the Barenboim-Sayed Foundation, which is a strategic partner of the Abu Dhabi Music Festival and is conducted by the late Palestinian intellectual and scholar Edward Said and the famous pianist and conductor Co-founded by Daniel Barenboim. It focuses on cultivating the musical talents of Palestinian children and young people, providing them with the learning and guidance of professional and influential conductors, and seeking to further enhance the atmosphere of classical music in Palestine, and make Palestinian classical musicians internationally well-known .
The 19th Abu Dhabi Festival in 2022 was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikha ShamsaBint Hamdan Al Nahyan and was supported by the main partner Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) and energy partner GS Energy. The 2022 Abu Dhabi Arts Festival will have more than 1,000 artists from all over the world participating, and they will host more than 300 performances and events.
