Because breakfast is really the most important meal of the day…
Boiled, shakshouka’d, mashed or fried on sourdough? No matter what eggs you like to eat in the morning, we can show you where to enjoy the best breakfast in Abu Dhabi without having to spend a fortune.
Where to go for breakfast in Abu Dhabi
Appaloosa
This sports bar offers a “championship breakfast”, although judging from the amount of food, champions usually don’t eat it on the day they win the championship. Exactly when only traditional English French fries can do it, this is a thorough (fried) cultivation-featuring European specialty meats, fried mushrooms, potato cakes, toast and eggs. This is a good value hellofalotta banger.

Brunch and cake
With the opening of the first branch in Abu Dhabi in the picturesque Marsa Al Bateen Marina area, a breakfast feast called Brunch & Cake has landed in Abu Dhabi. Locations in Dubai have become noteworthy breakfast dates, and the beauty on the walls and taste is delightful. Exclusive Abu Dhabi snacks include New York cheesecake-style ricotta pancakes, pepperoni pizza with honey jam, fried pizza and burrata toast. This is of course in addition to the menu favorites of other UAE locations.

Jones Grocery Store
As you would expect from the legendary gourmet chain cafe, JTC’s breakfast lineup is exceptionally strong. Our favorite must be the Farmer’s Breakfast, a powerful Persian feta omelette with smoked chicken, tomato chutney and spinach (54 dirhams). Until January 20, 2021, all stores in the UAE will offer a special French toast menu (from 58 AED). Take your fork out and eat a buttery crusty brioche with sweet and savoury (or both) toppings, such as maple syrup and crispy beef bacon; cinnamon poached pear and vanilla mascarpone; or Cheesecake, chopped toasted pecans, and mixed berry preserves. Oh la la.

Montauk Boutique Cafe and Restaurant
This is still in the “coming soon” trailer stage. But coming to Al Bateen later in February this year, Montauk Boutique Cafe & Restaurant is a self-described “Hampton-inspired” experience. This concept was proposed by Mariam Almansoori, the owner and founder of the UAE, and aims to provide a new place for coffee connoisseurs in the capital to choose their favorite, unpretentious luxury beer. What really challenged Abu Dhabi’s dining scene in this charming venue was breakfast. The most important meal on the menu of the day included avocado, beetroot, and cheese toast; Turkish egg with vanilla labneh; scrambled egg shakshuka; cream-soaked French toast; homemade granola with honey and berries; and Sesame bagel with cream cheese.
When it opens, the cafe will be located in Al Bateen and will be open daily from 10 am to 10 pm. @montaukabudhabi

Do not.Fifty Seven Boutique
This cafe is not shy to shake your favorite food out of the breakfast tree and surprise them. We are talking about truffle scrambled eggs, burrata and zaatar scrambled eggs, activated charcoal pancakes, hash brown Benedict and epic mini croissants and marshmallow cereals. Do not. FiftySeven Boutique is making breakfast for 3021 and we are disappointed.

Tasha
Tashas is another Abu Dhabi coffee shop with a very large brekkie energy. The concept originated in South Africa, but it already feels like part of the local structure here. The sublime interiors and the meticulous kitchen team make this restaurant a must-have for those who enjoy breakfast. The lamb sausage, which is part of the traditional breakfast (from 58 AED), is one of the best in the whole review. Highly recommend the Mariachi Breakfast Burrito (Dh76).
