The Chinese Consulate General in Dubai successfully held the Future Frontier Webinar at the Museum of the Future. This seminar is jointly organized by Embrace China and the UAE-China Chamber of Commerce. An estimated 250 guests attended the event, including Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Chairman of Hug China, HE Hadi Badri, Chief Executive Officer, Economic Development Department, Dubai Ministry of Economy and Tourism, HE Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Municipal and Planning Authority Local government and business representatives including HE Faryal Tawakul, Acting CEO of the UAE Ministry of Transport.
Consul General Li Xuhang said in his speech that China has made great progress in economic development, comprehensive national strength and international influence. On October 16, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held, drawing a grand blueprint for China’s development in the next stage, and injecting confidence and impetus into world peace, development and win-win cooperation. Heli Xuhang also said that China’s economy has become the engine of the world economy, and foreign businessmen are full of confidence in the long-term improvement of China’s economy. Dubbed the “City of the Future”, Dubai is emerging as a key contributor to shaping a new global vision for advanced technology. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Afghanistan relations have developed rapidly, with a high level of political mutual trust and close exchanges in various fields.
Sheikh Majid Al Mualla expressed his pleasure to invite Embrace China as a co-organizer of the seminar and to participate in discussions on the future economic strategy of the UAE and to explore potential business and investment opportunities for Chinese entities in the UAE. Embrace China will continue to promote digital transformation, deepen cultural exchanges and economic cooperation with China, and support the two countries to achieve win-win development.
During the seminar, HE Hadi Badri presented the latest policies of the Dubai Ministry of Economy and Tourism. Mr. Wang Guihai, Chairman of the UAE-China Business Council, gave an overview of the current status of the council, including the achievements of its members and their networking requirements. Chen Zhicheng, Deputy Governor of Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, introduced the business environment and investment opportunities in Wenshan Prefecture through a video. Mr. Sharif Badawi, CEO of Dubai Future District Fund, explained the policies related to Dubai Future Fund. The new energy vehicle investment demonstrated the development opportunities of the local new energy vehicle industry, and signed a cooperation agreement with UAE Transportation. Hikvision and Ajman City signed a memorandum of understanding. Representatives from the business and academic circles of China and Afghanistan discussed the development trends and cooperation prospects of the two countries in key fields such as technology and finance at the Future Forward symposium.
The Future Forward Webinar aims to seize the new opportunities arising from the rapid development of China and Afghanistan, and realize the connection between government and enterprises through a series of activities such as policy analysis, city promotion, and on-site exchanges.
