As part of the joint reconstruction project, Dubai Brands, the creative department of the Dubai Government Media Office, collaborated with the Dubai Municipality to host a virtual meeting today for 30 participants who were selected to redesign 10 parks in the emirate.
The conference was hosted by leading industry experts in the fields of architecture, interior design and event management. It discussed the key design requirements and strategic urban design principles of urban parks, and aimed to guide participants in making proposals in the next phase of the project.
The Dubai brand and the Dubai Municipal Government recently selected participants after evaluating more than 100 conceptual design proposals for public park elements and community activities submitted by the UAE creative community. Participants including UAE creatives, design and event professionals will work with multidisciplinary teams to revitalize parks throughout the emirate.

International award-winning UAE architect and founder of MULA Design Studio, Abdalla Almulla, told participants that their “design should be able to consider all the different components of the project and have the flexibility to evolve with the dynamic development of Dubai.” In In his speech, Almulla discussed the key elements of redesigning the community space and how to transform the place to promote the health and well-being of the community.
