The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s dog made a rare public appearance on Wednesday (06.07.22).
Prince William was cheered on the sidelines by wife Catherine and their black hound Orla by the couple as they attended Out-Sourcing Inc.’s 2022 Royal Charity Polo Cup at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor.
In 2020, two-year-old Ola was a gift from the Duchess’ brother James Middleton to the couple and their children following the death of their beloved pup, Lupo.
Ora made her first public appearance earlier this year when she appeared in a photo of the pair’s daughter Princess Charlotte, taken by the young mother and posted in May to mark her seventh birthday .
Although William was stolen from an engagement in Lancashire earlier this year, the couple hadn’t shared many details about their dog before.
After meeting a cockapoo puppy named Alfie who is training to support patients and colleagues at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and another therapy dog, Catherine said: “Our dogs can be very upset . She would say, ‘Where have you been?
Back in October, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge revealed they were mourning the loss of their beloved English cocker spaniel Lupo, which they had owned for nine years.
They wrote on Instagram at the time: “Sadly passed away last weekend our dear dog Lupo. He has been the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him dearly. -WC (sic)”
The pup is often seen in photos with the family, and the couple’s eldest son, Prince George, 8, is particularly fond of the black pup. Lupo was bred from a dog owned by Catherine’s parents and given to the couple in 2011.
