While not a Halloween movie per se, 1973’s exorcist Should be at the top of your horror streaming list for the holidays – according to experts, the scariest movie ever made.

2007 paranormal phenomenon Number three on the list. The film that launched the hit series has been praised for delivering scare on a low budget. The film reportedly “turns a simple haunted house story into 90 minutes of relentless suspense” rotten tomatoes.
Stanley Kubrickof shining At number four, the 1980 film was praised for its terrifying visuals and rich symbolism, and it’s still being analyzed to this day.
Rounding out the top five is the 2014 sequel it followsAccording to reports, the film ushered in “the era now known as ‘The Horror on the High'”. Condorcalling the film “an unforgettable genre piece”.
