The couple started to get up, but the waiter blocked the aisle, leaving them no room to move, so Camia asked the waiter if he could move to give them extra space. Allen explained that the flight attendant asked, “Will there be a problem,” Kamiya assured her that there would be no problem.
However, according to Allen, the situation escalated when the flight attendant became rude and told Kamiya in a passively aggressive tone to “sit down and hold your seat.” This prompted Kamia to explain that she didn’t like the way others spoke to her because she was not a child, so the flight attendant rushed out and reported the problem to the captain.
As the video continued, it caught two other flight attendants approaching the couple, instructing them to pick up their belongings and leave the flight. Allan did confirm that they were scheduled to take the next flight to Philadelphia at 8:20 in the evening, which caused inconvenience to the family. They had to sit at the airport for a few hours with a crying newborn. Although they were arranged on another flight, he felt that the situation had not been corrected. He did explain that when he first talked to American Airlines employees about getting them off the plane, they said they couldn’t overturn anything the captain said, and that’s what he said.
Allan told TSR that he and Kamia are taking legal action and have not filed a formal complaint with American Airlines because a lawyer is required to be present. In addition, Allen also shared that he had talked with a lawyer in New York and planned to file a complaint before the end of the day.
