The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health (DoH) has strictly required all medical institutions in the UAE to comply with the fixed price of COVID-19 PCR testing, including swab collection, testing and result reporting. According to Circular No. 108 of 2021, the fixed price of Dh65 for PCR testing applies to routine and emergency services.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health on Sunday, the UAE’s health care authority’s regulatory agency stated that if any health care provider does not comply with the agreement, they will be terminated from providing PCR testing services and will be fined in accordance with relevant laws. .
The department explained that if they do not have any symptoms, the cost of the PCR test will be borne by the individual. In other cases, the cost will be borne by government-funded programs.
DoH recently fined a medical institution for violating the fixed price of the COVID-19 PCR test.
DoH calls on community members to notify the department of any violations of regulations by calling 024193845 or sending an email to Healthsystemfinancing@doh.gov.ae.
