The battle is not over yet. This has almost just begun.Nearly two years after an unarmed black, Elijah McClain, was arrested in August 2019 and died after Aurora police strangled his throat and injected a tranquilizer, the grand jury decided for McLean Family justice basis CBS News.

Police officers Nathan Woodyard and Randy Roedema, former police officers Jason Rosenblatt and Aurora fire and rescue paramedics Jeremy Cooper and Lt. Peter Cichuniec. All five were charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of criminal negligent homicide. Two of the police officers faced additional charges of assault and violent crime. The two paramedics also face charges of assault and use a lethal weapon to cause reckless bodily harm due to the injection of the tranquilizer ketamine.
The charge for nursing staff does not stop there. They also face charges of assault related to “intentionally causing coma, loss of consciousness, or other physical or mental injury or injury” because they used ketamine for purposes other than legal medical treatment without consent. Elijah’s father LaWayne Mosely issued a statement regarding these allegations through his lawyer Mari Newman. “Nothing can bring back my son, but I am grateful that his murderer will eventually be held accountable,” he said.
