Duvall also claimed that he was fired before the company’s fifth anniversary, where he was “entitled” to greater severance pay. He said he was replaced by a black woman and a white woman. Duval also stated that the dismissal violated Chapter 7 of the Civil Rights Act.
Duvall’s lawyer Luke Largess told NBC News that the former executive was fired a few days before his fifth anniversary, when he was entitled to a larger severance pay.
“The message to be conveyed is not to give up diversity and inclusiveness, but to do so legally,” Largeess said.
