The mother said that a complex in Kansas City accidentally emptied all the items in her townhouse and lost a total of $32,000.

Over the weekend, Myrohn Guthrie (Myrohn Guthrie) came to the townhouse in Kansas City to choose winter clothes for her children. What she found was a Empty home. It seems that her family of three has never lived in this two-bedroom apartment. Everything disappeared, from furniture to food in the refrigerator, toys, toothbrushes, documents that legalized her business, even birth certificates and social security cards.

“I went in, there was nothing, as if there was nothing,” Myron told The Shade Room over the phone. “In the beginning, I didn’t know what I thought. I still ran upstairs and took a look to see where my things were.”

Empty home

The 25-year-old girl said that she stood nearby and watched for a while. She was shocked, but when reality hit her, confusion followed. There is no sign of breaking into her townhouse. Therefore, the first person she called her was her mother, and she asked if she had received a letter or notice from the rental office of Gateway Square Townhouse. She did not receive it either. By this time, Myron said she was screaming and crying. She recorded a video of the space and had a FaceTime call with a few friends, but she still couldn’t believe it.

“…I didn’t call the police because no one forcibly entered my house,” Myrohn said. “I already think my apartment is very dark, I only know it is them.”

About a week ago, Myrohn last saw her townhouse renovated and lived in. She and her two children have been living with their grandmother’s house about 30 minutes away. Like many people, she does a full-time job while relying on her elders to help take care of her four- and two-year-old children. She spends one or two nights at her grandma’s all week, which saves time and sleep. She only walked for about three days, working overtime, and after picking up the baby from her grandmother, there was nothing left.

Contact the rental office

The first time she tried to contact the rental office was last Saturday—the same day she walked into this nightmare. In view of the fact that the leased office was closed, she left them a voice mail. By Monday, she had been waiting outside the rental office for about 15 to 30 minutes before opening the door. She initially described the attitude of the two employees toward her as “super dismissive” and “super mean.”

The staff allegedly told her to call the police, but Myron insisted they were responsible. A few hours later, I had a conversation with several employees and her mother, and it turned out that Myron was right. The office made a clerical error, calling it a “huge mistake.” The office confuses her apartment (#1331) with the apartment that should be emptied (#1341). A third-party company was hired to complete this work.

Rental office response

Obviously, the staff told her that they could try to reimburse her but not for the gifts. The staff asked her to email a list of lost items to them. Myrohn was not told the name of the responsible employee or third-party company who threw away her things. She sent the list via email that day, and the list totaled about $32,000. Myron said that she allegedly received a list of inquiries and a response to whether she had purchased all the items. She responded, but received no further news from them and received no comfort until the local news station reported her story on Tuesday night.

As of Wednesday, Myrohn had violated her lease at Gateway Plaza Homes and planned to move into a new apartment on Monday. She has hired a lawyer to help mediate the matter, but the next step is still being worked out. She did not tell her children their old townhouse or their belongings, but her four-year-old child kept asking to go home and play with her toys.

“I really don’t know where to start,” Myrohn said.

The shading room could not contact the rental office to confirm the report. However, Fox4 Received a statement News from the parent company Seldin Company said that they are working hard to find a solution.

This story originally came from Myrohn’s Facebook post.
