Popular places have been transformed…
You may have noticed that La Cantine du Faubourg, one of Dubai’s top French restaurants, recently closed its doors. After eight weeks of adjustments and renovations, this popular place is now reopening.
Adhering to the Parisian elegance, the new aesthetics provides a higher experience, aiming to “effortlessly merge sound, music, images, art and food”. The space easily combines elegance and modernity, with quirky graffiti art, sheer floor-length curtains and bohemian rattan furniture.
If you are familiar with the previous design, you will be surprised when you arrive because the entire bar has moved. Now, instead of serving drinks from the left side of the venue, the entire space is filled with more tables and a glass wine cellar.

The bar now occupies the entire back wall, where guests can pull out a seat and enjoy one of the many signature cocktails. Or, reserve a table and enjoy a variety of delicious French shared dishes. Highlights on the menu include honey sauce and short ribs, salmon carpaccio, and burrata with peach and cherry tomatoes.
A mural of a huge musical legend Elton John, dressed in a feathered headband, overlooking the restaurant. Music references were also placed around the venue, and everyone from the Rolling Stones to Mozart was mentioned.
Every night from 8pm, and during the restaurant’s famous weekend brunch, there is a DJ behind the bar. You can also take part in this week’s business lunch, the price of two dishes is 110 dirhams.
