For investors, the two key hot spots are Kedah Rubber City (KRC) in Kedah and Chuping Valley Industrial Zone (CVIA) in Perlis. These regions provide local and foreign investors with mature and efficient supply chains, integrated logistics solutions and numerous opportunities. These industrial parks are also prepared to play a key role in strengthening regional cooperation within the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand growth triangle.

Although the pandemic has started and production has fallen by about 60%, NCER has maintained its socio-economic resilience and is currently focusing on talent training in strategic, high-impact industries. This is achieved by implementing strategically significant high-impact projects, expanding the employment sector in the region, strengthening the overall talent ecosystem, and increasing economic activities to accelerate the socio-economic recovery of the region.

To ensure the socio-economic recovery of NCER after the pandemic, NCIA has designed a people-oriented overall and comprehensive human capital plan. These programs are designed to benefit those who have lost their jobs, unemployed graduates, and companies looking to expand their business.

NCER also promotes local entrepreneurs to become international participants through its human capital program. The Malaysia Pavilion’s Business Week has ten entrepreneurs from the region who will showcase their innovative and high-quality products ready to export.
