The second advisory committee meeting of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit brought together more than 40 high-level government and non-government stakeholders

The second advisory committee meeting of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit was held recently, bringing together a large number of major government and private sector stakeholders to discuss the summit’s plans for the upcoming version.

The Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipality and Transport (DMT) and was supported by more than 25 government and semi-government entities from the federal authorities of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

This prestigious gathering of high-level decision makers will be held at Conrad Abu Dhabi-Etihad Tower, Abu Dhabi, from November 23 to 24, 2021, to consolidate initiatives to create a smart city of the future.

The second advisory committee meeting of the summit was chaired by He Ying. Salem Almemari, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Municipal Services Department and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Steering Committee.

The second meeting of the Abu Dhabi Smart City Summit Advisory Committee is characterized by a high level of participation, which helps to develop a comprehensive framework for this year’s second edition, which is considered to be the main activity for the unified planning and development of resilient cities in the region One of the future cities led by technology.

DMT stated that it is working closely with all public and private sector partners to develop a comprehensive vision, which reflects the leadership’s efforts to create future communities and desire-driven cities, with flexible infrastructure capable of responding to all variables, and a reliable Data and sustainable planning for forecasts of Abu Dhabi’s population and geographic growth. The Ministry emphasized that this summit is a precious opportunity that will enable everyone to achieve these goals and more. This is an extraordinary experience and a step towards the vision of a future city.
