The U.S. relaxes travel restrictions on entry for non-citizens-must have a vaccination certificate and a negative COVID test

As the U.S. continues navigation COVID-19, the country is now relaxing travel restrictions on non-citizens.

Starting in November, non-citizens entering the United States from other countries will be allowed to enter, but they must have a vaccination certificate and a negative COVID test.

according to Fox Los Angeles, “The new regulations will replace a host of restrictions on entry into the United States for non-citizens who have been to Europe, most of Asia, and certain other countries in the past 14 days. The 18-month travel restrictions are planned for the long-awaited reunification.”

According to FOX 11 LA, the test must be performed three days before the flight.

“International travel is essential for connecting family and friends, promoting small and large businesses, and promoting an open exchange of ideas and culture,” the White House COVID Coordinator

Jeff Zienz said. “This is why we have developed a new international air travel system under the guidance of science and public health, which not only improves the safety of Americans at home, but also improves the safety of international air travel.”

It also stated that President Biden is testing the program for unvaccinated Americans who wish to travel to the country, “They need to be tested within the day before returning to the United States and after they arrive home,” Zients said.

People who are vaccinated do not need to be isolated.

The new rules replace the guidelines set by former President Trump.

“This is an individual rather than a country-based approach, so it is a more powerful system,” said Zients, the White House COVID coordinator.

Zients said that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will now require “airlines to collect contact information for international travelers to facilitate tracking.”

Roommates, what do you think?
