New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites the UAE community to participate in the 4th Annual Cycling Zayed: Towards the Next 50 Community Cycling Event to celebrate the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan And the UAE’s 50th anniversary. The event will be held at Al Hudayriat Island from 3.30-6.30 pm on Wednesday, December 15.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary, we invite cyclists to complete a 10-kilometer cycle with the option of completing another 5 laps of the shorter 8-kilometer cycle to reach a total of 50 kilometers.
The event is open to all members of the UAE community. A limited number of bicycles and helmets are provided for free on a first-come, first-served basis. If possible, encourage participants to bring refillable water bottles and their own bicycles.
This event is part of NYUAD’s commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle. The first Zayed Cycling event was held in 2018, with cyclists riding 100 kilometers to celebrate the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
