The UAE ranks third globally in the use of modern technology and fourth in attracting talent.
According to an international report released in cooperation with Google, the UAE has been rated as one of the world’s most suitable countries for the future-ranking first in the Arab world and third among the 27 emerging economies in the world.
Globally, the country ranks 23rd out of 123 countries in the Future Readiness Index report released by the Portulans Institute, an independent research and education center in the United States.
The report aims to provide countries with a valuable tool to measure their future preparedness and serve as a guide for their strategic choices and policy decisions.
The index measures four pillars: institutions and infrastructure, technology, talent and innovation, and sub-pillars.
The UAE ranks third in the world in terms of monitoring skills and the use of modern technology; fourth is to attract talent; and sixth in terms of growth talent.

It also ranks among the top 30 countries in 10 sub-pillars focused on readiness, agility, technology, digital transformation, and human capital investment.
The results of the index were announced at a virtual conference held as part of the 11th annual Concordia summit.
The speaker emphasized the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the post-Covid-19 era, as well as the need to improve readiness and agility for digital transformation.
The Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Ohud Bint Halfan Al Rumi, stated that during the Covid-19 pandemic, accelerating digital transformation played a key role in ensuring the continuity of business and services.
She added that the current trend of digital transformation requires a comprehensive review of government work, legislation and legal systems, and related infrastructure.
