The country has designated October 29 as Programmer’s Day.

A senior official said on Tuesday that the UAE’s goal is to have the highest number of female coders in the world, and the country will set October 29 as Coder Day.

“Our goal is to have the most female coders in the world. The first coder in history is also a woman. We need to create the best jobs for them. UAE Minister of State Omar Sultan Al Olama said: “Everything in society All members need to interact with coders-whether you are 50 years old or not, whether you are UAE or not, you can become a coder. “Used in artificial intelligence, digital economy and remote work applications.

The UAE has partnered with some of the world’s largest companies, such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, to train 100,000 coders and create 1,000 major digital companies in the next five years.

He pointed out that the UAE intends to create a programmer society to make it easier for companies to acquire talents. “We have more than 60,000 coders in the UAE, but there is no coders association in the country… In terms of business, the most important thing for us is quality rather than quantity.”

He emphasized the importance of regulations. He said that the UAE reviews regulations around blockchain, big data laws and all aspects related to the new era technology every six months, because the technology is developing very rapidly, and regular updates of regulations make these countries more flexible. “In the field of science and technology, there are new opportunities and new challenges every day.”

Speaking at the Gitex Global Leaders Vision Forum, he said that as the use and introduction of new technologies increase, services and subscriptions will be automatically updated, and the government will become more and more hidden.
