It was announced yesterday that two suspects were in custody for the murder of the young Dolph. On Wednesday, authorities held a news conference to provide more details about the case and to reveal that a third suspect had been charged.
according to WREG 3, at a news conference, officials announced that a third man had been charged with the murder. They said Sundale Barnett, originally from Memphis but living in Dallas, is facing an accessory charge for reportedly helping Justin Johnson in his escape from authorities. As previously reported, Johnson was arrested in Indiana on Tuesday, and Barnett was the man in the passenger seat of the car Johnson was driving when authorities arrested him.
Last week, U.S. Marshals ended up receiving more than 500 tips after announcing the reward for information that could lead to Johnson’s arrest. A tip posted on Tuesday mentioned that he was spotted traveling in Brazil in Indiana. Law enforcement then contacted law enforcement about the matter, and they pulled him over and took him into custody.
Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said the investigation of the case is still ongoing and there may be more suspects. The motive for Young Doffer’s shooting is unclear.

as Before Cornelius Smith is another suspect identified by officials in custody, according to reports. He was also arrested and held at the Shelby County Jail and charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested on December 9 on a car theft warrant involving the white Mercedes Benz used in the murder of Young Dolph. He was extradited from DeSoto County Jail to Shelby County Jail on Tuesday.
Young Dolph is known to have been killed at Makeda’s Cookies in Memphis on November 17, 2021.
