[ad_1]

DUBAI – Passengers of the leading airline in the United Arab Emirates can now use free wifi, which means they can browse the internet while in the air.

Emirates has announced that the service will be available to passengers in all travel classes upon registration with Emirates Skywards.

The service comes after the airline upgraded its connectivity system, allowing an additional 30,000 economy class passengers to use free in-flight Wi-Fi each week.

Skywards members traveling in any class of travel (Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Class), whether Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum, will enjoy exciting free app messaging.

Additionally, First Class passengers will have unlimited free internet access if they are Skywards members, allowing them to shop, browse or work online on board, as will Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum members in Business Class. For Skywards Platinum members, they get free internet in all cabins.

Emirates has always set high standards in aviation and travel. The standard of the operator can be judged from the fact that

To date, it has invested more than $300 million in onboard connectivity.

The airline also announced that it will offer a new high-speed in-flight broadband service powered by Inmarsat’s GX Aviation on 50 new Airbus A350 aircraft; the aircraft are scheduled to enter service in 2024.

The Airbus A350 will be Emirates’ first aircraft to benefit from Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) satellite network, which powers the world’s first and only globally available broadband network.

Emirates is considered one of the top airlines in the region and has repeatedly raised the bar of its competitors in terms of luxury travel and comfort.

Emirates operated its first flight from Dubai to Karachi and Mumbai on 25 October 1985 using a Boeing 737 and an Airbus 300 B4 wet-leased from Pakistan International Airlines. Years passed and in 1987 the A6-EKA as Emirates took delivery of its first owned aircraft, an Airbus A310-304, from Toulouse to Dubai. Since then, the airline has been serving people from all walks of life.
