The holiday season is officially here…
Diwali is one of our favorite celebrations in Dubai. The streets of Bur Dubai are brightly lit, and restaurants offer special Diwali menus and more.
Although most of the colorful celebrations are held in Old Dubai, Jumeirah Lakes Towers will soon be involved.
This weekend, Friday, October 22 and 23, there will be a Diwali Bazaar to help you prepare for Hanukkah.
The event was an initiative initiated by the popular Facebook group, Indian expatriates in Dubai, and was held outdoors at the cluster S, JLT Lake level.
Visitors can enjoy the cool weather while shopping at more than 50 local brands. These brands sell items such as holiday clothing, jewelry, and decorations. Look out for Diwali items such as diyas (lamps), rangoli powder, etc.
Some participating brands include Fashion Factory, Tini’s Craft (pictured above), Dipti Creations, Knot Gypsy, Sole Story and Festive Corner.
Looking for gifts for someone celebrating? Gift baskets are available for purchase.
For food, the vibrant Indian restaurant in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Khau Gali will indulge in delicious Indian street food at the bazaar. Look forward to dishes like pani puri, vada pav, pav bhaji, jalebi, etc.
The co-organizer of the event, Priyanka Aggarwal Mandelia, said: “This part of the city doesn’t really host many festival fairs. Unlike old Dubai, these community events It’s very common. So we want to plan a community event for Diwali to get everyone together to celebrate the festival of lights.
The best news? The market does not charge any entrance fees, so please go with the whole family.
