Tahoe Joy Music Festival at the Tahoe City Community Center
Celebrating Lake Tahoe’s joy and vibrant music and artist scene will be held at the City of Tahoe Community Center on Sunday, June 11th from 12 noon to 5 pm.
All are welcome to attend this family-friendly event featuring multiple performances, artisans and vendors, and a food truck that will benefit the Tahoe Truckee Conservatory and the Tahoe City Downtown Association.
This free concert will kick off the TCDA Solstice Festival. Performing regional artists include Peter Joseph Burtt and The King Tide, Matt Aston and Badmoon, and Dead Winter Carpenters’ Jenni and Jesse.
Alpine Beach Party in the Palisades Tahoe

Logging Railway Trestle Tour from Hobart Estates
Join the Truckee Donner Railroad Society on Saturday, June 10 at 8:30 a.m. for a driving and walking tour of old logging railroad grades, collapsed trestle bridges, rained log cars and more.
There is no fee to attend this event, but reservations are required and can be found at tours@tdrrs.org.
There will be old maps, photos and stories to help you understand what it was like to be a lumberjack over a hundred years ago. This tour consists of a four-mile hike divided into several sections. Be sure to pack a lunch, layers of clothing, and good hiking shoes.
Heritage Day at Donner Memorial State Park
Celebrate Heritage Day at Donner Memorial State Park on Saturday, June 10th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with lots of fun scheduled for the whole family.
This event is free, but there is a $10 parking fee to come to the park.
Throughout the day there will be live music, hands-on activities and history tours, and presentations from the Washoe Tribe.
Enjoy food and drinks from the Big Blue Q food truck, with live music from Touch of Gold and Alice & The Wonderlandz.
The event is organized in partnership with the Sierra State Parks Foundation and sponsored by Visit Truckee Tahoe and Sustainable Truckee.

The 48th Soroptimist Wine and Restaurant Faire

Truckee Roundhouse Manufacturer Show
The 7th annual Maker Faire will be held at the Truckee Roundhouse at the Truckee Airport on Sunday, June 11 at 11am.
The largest outreach and community event of the year, the fundraiser brings together local makers to share in the awe of their creations.
There will be a variety of interactive art, technology, hobbies and projects, as well as food trucks, beer, live music, art vehicles, activities for kids, and a silent auction and raffle.
This creative activity is $10 at the door, $5 for kids, and $5 for bike rides.

A Lifetime Introduction to Lake Tahoe Science
On Tuesday, June 13 at 5:30 pm in Granlibakken, Tahoe City, the UC Davis Tahoe Science Lecture Series will continue Brant Allen’s three decades of research on Lake Tahoe.
Admission is $10, free for students with a student ID. There will be refreshments and a hostess bar. The lecture, which begins at 6 p.m., highlights photos and stories of Allen’s exploration of Lake Tahoe’s clarity, productivity and food web changes.
