Three Abu Dhabi karaoke nights to try this weekend

[ad_1]

Our gift is our song, and this song is for you…

Karaoke ranks in the top three on our list of the most sinful fun of all time, always making for an energetic night. Watching quiet little Christina get up off the account and sing a flawless Celine Dion chorus, or Omar, your MD picks up the mic and absolutely kills the whole thing Snoop Verse -It creates a community experience that goes beyond the frailty of words. “Music heals,” Prince once said “music holds things together.”

Even if it sucks, at least in some fundamental ways, it’s good. Applauding for effort – signing a silent no-judgment contract… Bravery has always been seen as important next to talent. So, with all these disclaimers, would you like to come on stage with us, the show is about to start…just a small town girl…

Stills Got Talent Presents Karaoke Night

Every Friday night, Stills at Crowne Plaza Yas Island will help you start the weekend with a very special karaoke x brunch duet. Life may be a cage, but on stage you’re free and ready for the hype – you’ll have to bring your A-games, as the lack of a judging panel means a story about “that’s when you were born” won’t let You go to the next round. Off stage, choose a BBQ feast, plus two hours of cocktails and house-made drinks for AED 199 (food only AED 99). Original live MC Sharara is always ready to maintain high and low beats throughout the evening.

Crowne Plaza Yas Island, Friday 8pm-11pm, free admission, packages from Dhs99. Phone: (02) 656 3000, @stillsyasisland

Karaoke staff at Up & Below

On Saturday, June 25th, you received an open invitation to an Up & Above rooftop karaoke night. It is run by master craftsman The Karaoke Crew, and admission is free all night from 9pm. So come on, channel your inner Cher to peak weekend, wiggle your pelvis like Elvis, sing like Sting and make those speakers quiver like Drake’s bomb track.

Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center, Saturday, June 25 at 9 p.m. Admission is free. Tel: (056) 491 7484, @thekaraokecrew

Hip-Hop Karaoke at Atlon

Hip-hop (and R&B) karaoke nights at the Atlon Bar and Bistro every Thursday put you on stage and be the Cut Chemist, Busta, Missy, Biggie or Drake you were born to be. Issue an open invitation to ride Genuwine ‘pony’; Join Mary’s campaign against local ballroom hatred and noise; or investigate whether people really have forget Dre. You may have spotted a certain 80s/90s/00s bias in our song/artist selection. Do you think something modern is better? Pick up the microphone to prove it? It’s closed between 8pm and 11pm and the free all-you-can-drink package is only AED 99. Beverage list includes wine and beer; spirits, margaritas and vintage.
