stone. MICHAEL, PA – Families and communities will come alive at the annual Forest Hills Festival.
The three-day event will be held Saturday through Monday at Berwind Wayside Festival Park on Route 869 in St. Michael.
Holiday hours are Saturday and Sunday 11am-10pm and Monday 11am-5pm.
Adams Town Volunteer Fire Brigade No. 2 is in charge of the festival.
Fire company director Paul Kundrod said the festival offered a hometown vibe along with delicious cooking.
“We had a great holiday and made it affordable for people,” he said.
“We’re having another great year looking for craft and food suppliers.”
The Arts and Crafts Show will feature more than 120 booths with vendors selling candles, yard signs, jewelry, clothing, artwork and seasonal outdoor signage and displays.
Breakfast is served daily from 7am to 11am at the fire station across from the festival grounds.
An all-you-can-eat menu of pancakes, bacon, sausage and other breakfast favorites for just $10.
“It’s a holiday favorite, and the response for breakfast has been great,” Kundrod said.
“We’re seeing most people crossing the road for the event.”
Food vendors from about 25 local churches and civic groups will offer hot sausages, hamburgers, Mexican favorites, fresh-cut fries, grilled meats, apple dumplings and ice cream sundaes.
Saturday’s musical entertainment will include Freedom Rocks at 11am, Hard Rok, KoKo and Joe at 3pm and Wednesday at 7pm
At 2 p.m., the Forest Hills School District will host a parade where the new Ranger mascot will be unveiled.
On Sunday, Bazooka Joe Acoustic will perform at 11am, Russell Wilburn at 2:30pm and Three of Hearts at 6pm
Fireworks will light up the sky on Sunday at 9pm.
“We think it’s one of the best shows in Cambria County, and people come for it,” Kunderod said.
“It was an extraordinary performance.”
Le Dance Academy will perform on Mondays at 10am, followed by Tombstone at 12:30pm and Johnstown Button Box at 3pm
There will be bingo games in the social hall and children’s activities.
“It’s a family-oriented festival with great entertainment, great food options, great events, and vendors bring quality products,” Kundrod said.
“It was a good time.”
