As Macron passed through the crowd, an egg hit his shoulder and bounced without breaking.

French President Emmanuel Macron was hit in the shoulder by an egg thrown at him while visiting an international food trade fair in Lyon.

A video of the incident that happened on Monday was widely shared on social media. The video showed Macron as he walked through the crowd when an egg bounced off his body without breaking.

Two bodyguards can be seen immediately approaching the president to protect his shoulders.

The video also showed a man being taken away by other bodyguards.

The reporter at the scene heard Macron say, “If he has anything to tell me, then he can come.”

The authorities did not release detailed information about the man’s identity or motives.

In June, Macron Hit in the face A man greeted the public in a small town in southeastern France.

Then he condemned “violence” and “stupidity.” The man was ordered to jail for four months.

This slap in the face prompted politicians in the ideological field to broadly support the French head of state.

Macron, like his predecessor, likes to spend time meeting the public to greet him.

They are called “crowd baths” in French and have long been the main content of French politics.

A little more than six months before the next French presidential election, the 43-year-old Macron has not yet announced his re-election campaign, but is expected to do so.
