Aiken Women In Black and Moms Demand Action will hold a Vigil for Peace and Nonviolence on Monday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., on Whiskey Road across from The Fresh Market (at Hitchcock Drive, the entrance to Aiken Estates). Join us in seeking a path to peace this year in the midst of so much hate and violence. Everyone is welcome – men, women, children. Bring your own nonpartisan sign or use one of ours. The Hopelands Concert Series will be held Mondays through June 26. The Experiment & the I-20 Horns will perform at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Roland H. Windham Performing Arts Stage at Hopelands Gardens, 135 Dupree Place. Lawn chairs and blankets may be brought, as well as picnic dinners and non-alcoholic beverages. Parking is at the Green Boundary Club, 780 Whiskey Road. Handicap parking is available at the Rye Patch parking lot on Berrie Road and the Hopelands Gardens parking lot. Joye in Aiken Jazz Camp will be held from Thursday to Sunday, June 25 at the USC Aiken Etherredge Center. The camp is open to rising ninth graders through twelfth graders. Instruments accepted are trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, drums, keyboards, string double bass and electric guitar. Other instruments such as violin and voice can be considered.

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will hold a Bingo Ball from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior and Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Ave. N.W. This event is for people age 50 and older. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Ticket sales run through June 16 and can be purchased at the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior & Youth Center, the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center and the Smith-Hazel Recreation Center. Semi-formal attire is recommended. For more information, call 803-643-2181.
