The UAE hopes that Ivan Remarenco will perform well when entering the arena in the 100 kg competition at the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday.
As an outstanding performer on the international stage, Remarenko will face Canada’s Sadi El Najas in the 32nd round in Tokyo on Thursday.
This will be the second time that Remarenco has participated in the Olympics. He made his debut at the Rio Olympics five years ago.
The 32-year-old Judo athlete born in Moldova is an accomplished performer on the international stage. His greatest moment appeared at the 2014 World Judo Championships, when he won a bronze medal.
But before reaching the quarter-finals in Tokyo, Remarenko must face his young rival El Nahas on Thursday, the 23-year-old Canadian at the 2021 World Judo Championships Won the fifth place.

On Tuesday, despite his outstanding performance in the preliminary rounds, UAE swimmer Yousuf Al Matrooshi failed to qualify for the 100m freestyle semi-finals.
The talented 18-year-old swimmer made his Olympic debut and finished third in the preliminary rounds with a score of 51.50.
But it is not enough for him to rank among the top 16 in the 100m freestyle.
However, as Al Matrooshi looked forward to future competitions, he was satisfied with his performance in the Olympics for the first time.
“I will focus on playing my best performance in important upcoming events, including the World Short Distance Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi in December,” Al Matrooshi said in Tokyo.
“I will also prepare for the Arabian and Gulf Swimming Championships. All championships are full of challenges. I can gain new experience and improve my skills.”
At the same time, the UAE sprinter Hassan Al Noubi will participate in the 100-meter preliminaries on Saturday (July 31). Al Noubi won the national 100m and 200m races.
