Top Iranian diplomat meets UAE officials

TEHRAN – The political will of the southern and northern Persian Gulf countries has built bridges of friendship and brotherhood, forming a clear vision of stability and development for the people of the region, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister said. political affairs.

Ali Bagheri Kani made the remarks during a meeting in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday with Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, UAE Minister of State, and Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Senior Diplomatic Assistant to the President of the United Arab Emirates.

Bagherikani stressed that Iran sees no limits to strengthening ties with its neighbors, noting that regular political exchanges between representatives of the foreign ministries of both countries are a key factor in improving relations between Tehran and Abu Dhabi.

He also stressed that regional prosperity depends on the joint efforts of all regional countries to maintain security and stability.

The deputy foreign minister reaffirmed the effectiveness of the peripheral policy implemented by President Raisy’s government, pointing out that the political will of the northern and southern countries of the Persian Gulf has built a bridge of friendship.

Bagheri Carney emphasized that consolidating political mutual trust between the two countries is the key to the stability of Iran-Arabia relations in the new era.

For their part, senior UAE officials have highlighted their government’s commitment to radically strengthening ties with Iran and prioritizing developing commercial ties.

Bagherikani visited Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues with Arab authorities.

Bagheri said in a tweet on Tuesday that he was visiting the UAE to strengthen bilateral relations and engage in dialogue on regional issues.

The visit comes two weeks after UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Maral traveled to Tehran for talks with Bagheri.

Demonstrators stormed the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran after Riyadh executed a prominent Shia cleric, seven years after the UAE downgraded diplomatic ties with Iran.

The foreign ministers of Iran and the UAE held a phone call on April 22, emphasizing the value of strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in terms of linkages between the private sectors of the two countries.

Bagheri Kani also served as Iran’s chief representative in international negotiations to renew the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the West.

Also in Abu Dhabi, he met and spoke with counterparts from the United Kingdom, France and Germany, which are still signatories to the nuclear deal.

“Continuing diplomatic consultations with regional and extra-regional parties, we met with German, French and British counterparts to discuss a range of issues and issues of mutual concern,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
