Tori Spelling is happy to finally end her long-running feud with Candy Spelling.
The 49-year-old former “Beverly Hills, 90210” first fell out with her mother about 20 years ago, and their relationship went through some extremely difficult times, with Tori admitting they hadn’t seen each other for several years, and finally Just leave the bad blood behind. They have been in recent months.
In an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” Tori said, “We have a great relationship…it’s like the next level now. I’m really happy.”
Tory went on to praise her friend “Million Dollar Listing” star Josh Flagg for reconciling by suggesting that the mother and daughter get together for dinner.
She explained: “I haven’t seen her since I got Covid. Then Josh said, ‘Okay, we’re going to cook a family dinner at her house.’ So we went and had a lovely night.”
Tori added that the pair have been out together many times since then and are in frequent contact, adding: “We text every day”.
The pair first publicly reconciled in September, when Tori shared a photo on Instagram of her having dinner with mom Candy and her brother Randy.
She captioned the photo: “This is a special moment. I don’t think the three of us {just the three of us} have gone out to dinner together in 20 years.
“It’s all about celebrating our moms! Happy birthday @candyspelling!!! @randyspelling, I love you so much! Such an iconic woman! Love mom and grandma! Can’t wait to continue celebrating your birthday with you!”
In another photo she later posted showing mother and daughter hugging, Tori wrote: “Loved celebrating this goddess tonight. One thing I’ve learned recently…life is short. So, as much as possible Stay close to your loved ones. I love you with all my heart, Mom. Happy birthday.”
Tori later spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” about mending the rift, saying: “I feel like life is too short and we forget that. I think because life goes on, you say to yourself, ‘I have to Make a plan to be with this person and I have to work hard, ‘Then you don’t work hard because your life goes on. It’s important to really take your time now, and I think I’m finally starting to understand.'”
