This beautiful sculpture “Not only pay tribute to them, but the banner depicted recognizes the role runners played in helping to make this happen. It is a wonderful piece of art, placed on the lawn of our Arts and Entertainment Center, that will lead our city into the future.” .”
Dennis said it was important to place the piece on the east side of the building, where the Joplin Memorial Run begins each spring.
“It is with all my heart,” said Tonya Sprenkle, Treasurer of Active Lifestyle Events, Inc., “to see this permanent sculpture in memory of those who lost their lives on that fateful day in May.
